Can I drink the S-Water solution?

Do NOT drink the S-Water solution. Do NOT heat it as well, or use boiling/hot water when making the S-Water solution. 

Which should I use if I want to sanitise my cutting board?

You may use both sprayers as long as you rinse the cutting board after spraying it, but it is recommended to use the Fruit and Veggie Spray. 

Does it really kill 99% of all germs and bacteria?

It does not kill all types of germs and bacteria but has been lab proven to kill 99% of certain germs and bacteria, namely E.Coli, S.aureus, P. Aeruginosa, Salmonella, H1N1. 

What is the technology behind this?

S-Water is produced by electrolysis of ordinary tap/drinking water containing dissolved table salt. The result is an effective, economical and eco-safe cleanser, antibacterial and deodorizer. When an electrical current is applied to the saltwater solution, the water and salt molecules are broken apart and combined into a few new molecules, including hypochlorous acid (HClO) and hypochlorite ion (-OCI). Hypochlorous acid is a known sanitizing, bacteria-killing, and deodorizing agent (or oxidant) and is the same substance our white blood cells produce to keep our immune system healthy. The sodium hydroxide (NaOH) found in electrolyzed water is a type of detergent that is used in a wide range of products in various concentrations (toothpaste, all-purpose cleaners, etc.), and it provides optimal conditions for the cleaning action of the hypochlorite ion, another powerful oxidant. These molecules exist in very safe and non-toxic amounts in S-Water we generate with the H2O e3 eActivator, but are still enough to make it a very effective cleaner, antibacterial and deodorizer. The oxidants, or oxidizing agents, work by OXIDATING (breaking down) and eliminating dirt, bacteria and odours!

Are there 2 adapters provided? 

No, there is only 1 adapter provided in the entire set.

What materials/surfaces is it unsuitable for?

Do not use it on unsealed wood floors, carpets, leather, clothing, or other fabric or soft materials. Continuous use will cause discolouration/fading of colour of these materials over time.

Why does adding vinegar make it more effective? 

After the S-Water™ is produced, making it more acidic makes for an even better antibacterial effect. The vinegar lowers the pH (and increases acidity) of the S-Water™ so that a better antibacterial effect can be achieved. 

Activator vs Fruit and Veggie Spray

What is the difference between the H2O e3 Activator and Fruit and Veggie Spray?

The main difference is in its usage. For more general sanitizing and cleaning objects/surfaces, use the original H2O e3 Activator. For cleaning fruits and vegetables, use the Fruit and Veggie Spray. Its main difference lies in its electrolysis process. The original takes 10 minutes while the Fruit and Veggie Spray take 6 minutes, so the S-Water concentration is different, making its usage different. 

Can I use the Fruit and Veggie Spray like the original eActivator? 

You can do so, but it may not be effective in achieving the same results. It is better to use the Fruit and Veggie Spray for food-related things only. 

What about the other way around? (Use the original eActivator as the Fruit and Veggie spray)

It is not advisable to use the original eActivator for food. This is because the concentration of the S-water generated in it is above what is safe for food contact. 

Purpose & Usage

Why must I rinse my fruits and vegetables before consumption after using the spray on it?

For the Fruit & Veggie eSprayer, this is an extra precaution. We advise rinsing it so that any dead bacteria or germs killed by the S-Water are washed away and not consumed. Also, the S-Water can change the taste of food as it tastes salty.

What can I use it for? 

Sanitize cutting boards, toys, baby seats and chairs, strollers, and pet beds. 

Deodorize odours. 

Use it on your floors and tables for a chemical-free, non-toxic solution that is safe for your pets and kids. You may also use it as a multi-purpose solution for cleaning certain spills, for dishwashing purposes and even for cleaning out your ovens.

Can I use it like a dishwashing cleaner?

It will be effective to a certain degree but may not work as well as dishwashing detergent for tougher, more stubborn stains. If you wish to, advisably use the Fruit and Veggie eSprayer. Do remember to rinse with water thoroughly after spraying your cutlery and dishes with the S-Water.

Can I use it on meat?

It is not advisable to. Use the Fruits and Veggie eSprayer only for fruits and vegetables.  

Can I use it to sanitise masks? 

It is not advisable as it will leave the mask wet and may cause the fabric’s colour to fade off after some time. 

Can I use it on fabrics/clothes?

Do not use it on clothing, fabric or soft materials. Continuous use will cause discolouration/fading of colour of these materials over time.

Can I mix it with other cleaners/ingredients/products? 

In general, do NOT mix the S-Water with anything else other than what has been stated or directed. Mixing fragrances or scented oils will diminish the cleaning and bacteria-killing effectiveness of the S-Water™. Do not mix S-Water with any other cleaners. Do not mix acidic toilet bowl cleaners or ammonia products with it as this can result in toxic fumes causing breathing difficulties. 

Can I use it on metals? 

S-Water might cause corrosion or damage on unprotected, corrosion-prone metals, so it is advisable to wipe them off after application. 

Can I use this to electrolyse my own cleaners?

Never electrolyse cleaners, sanitisers, or any other flammable, explosive or toxic solution. Electrolysis shall only be supplied with water, salt, and vinegar as instructed. 

Cleaning and maintenance 

Place approximately 50ml of white vinegar and 200ml of water into the eActivator, close the cap and shake the contents. Let the water/vinegar solution sit inside the eActivator for 20-30 minutes. Empty the eActivator, rinse thoroughly with regular tap water and use new water to make the next batch of S-Water. If necessary, repeat the cleaning process or let the water/vinegar solution sit longer inside the eActivator until the limescale is completely removed from the metal mesh. 

Can I screw the base off and clean the metal mesh with a cloth?

Avoid doing this. Follow the instructions above strictly or those in the manual for cleaning and maintenance purposes. 

How long does the solution last before I need to recharge?

The S-Water solution will only be effective for 1-2 weeks before you need to remake the solution. 

Troubleshooting

Why is my eActivator leaking?

-Check and make sure that the Silicone One-way Air Valve inside the Water Tank Cap is sealed properly. 

-Make sure the eActivator Water Tank Cap is sealed properly and twisted on tight. 

-Never use the eSprayer Nozzle instead of the Water Tank Cap when the eActivator is turned on. 

-Always keep the Silicone Cap for the Adapter Port closed when the Adapter is not plugged into the unit. 

-Check that the eActivator Base is fixed properly onto the eActivator Water Tank.
