CAUTIONS:
-Do not operate the rice cooker when the inner pot is empty.
-Ensure the inner pot and heating plate are dry before putting them in the rice cooker.
-Do not fill more than the maximum level on the inner pot.
How to clean the lid?
Wetting it down with soft cloths with a 50:50 solution of white vinegar and water is best. Baking powder mixed with white vinegar (made into a paste) should be used to remove obstinate stains, which should be wiped with a soft cloth and cleaned with a clean cloth. Repeat the procedure until the area is clean.
How many cups of rice can this healthy rice cooker cook?
Gourmet Chef Healthy Rice Cooker can cook up to 6 cups of rice (if you cook normal rice, not reduced starch rice). If you want to cook low-sugar rice, the max is 4 cups of rice. The water ratio for cooking low-sugar rice:-

2 cups rice: 8-8.5 cups water
3 cups rice: 9-9.5 cups water

Gourmet Chef Healthy rice cooker is a multifunctional cooker that has an extra feature enabling users to cook white rice and reduce the starch (sugar) content, making the rice healthier. Low Sugar Rice cooking mode uses a special 3-stage cooking process that gives the ideal cooking temperature, forcing the unhealthy RDS (Rapidly Digested Starch) out from the rice.

Are the cooking steps for normal and low-sugar rice modes the same?
No. An additional low-sugar basket (included) has to be placed in the inner pot to cook low-sugar rice. Put the washed rice and water in the low sugar basket, then press on MENU to select “Low Sugar Rice” mode. (Water ratio is 1 cup rice: 7-7.5 cups water)
